Being a voting member of the Association gives you
a voice in the important issues that face us in the future. As
a voting member, you will join in electing fellow property owners
as representatives to the SMEPOA's Board of Directors who:
- Represent the interests of property owners on issues that
may have an effect on the fundamental character of Sassafras
Mountain Estates, including our privacy, security and safety.
- Protect property values within our community by encouraging
cooperation among property owners regarding private and common
property maintenance, including our private roads.
- Provide a collective voice to speak to local governments on
issues such as property taxes and county roads that could influence
the quality of life and the value of properties within our community.
- Develop and provide guidelines for the members and their families
concerning safety of themselves and their property. We can accomplish
this by working with local fire and law enforcement agencies
to provide adequate and timely services.
- Safeguard the quality of life that brought you and other property
owners to Sassafras Mountain Estates by preserving the natural
resources of our community.
Clearly, there are important advantages involved when you become
a voting member of the Sassafras Mountain Estates Property Owners
Association. But one of the best reasons for joining may be the
added sense of community involvement and shared responsibility
that comes with voting membership.
Please take a moment to think it over, and you'll see that becoming
a voting member of the Association offers significant long-term
benefits for you. Join us as we all work together to protect the

A Consent form can be downloaded, or you can obtain one from
the Secretary. Make sure you have the form for the correct County,
Pickens or Dawson.
Page 1:
- " On the top line ("Index in Grantor Index Owner's
Name(s)") write your name and the name(s) of any co-owner(s).
- " Paragraph one: Fill in your LOT NUMBER for the lot
you are submitting.
(Leave blank the LAND LOT portion.)
To submit additional Lots, complete additional forms.

FILLED OUT FOR YOU!
The Secretary will be glad to look up your deed information and
complete the form.

- " Wait to sign the form until you are BEFORE A NOTARY
AND A WITNESS (probably at your bank, or at one of our meetings).

- " Leave the lower portion to be certified by SMEPOA.
